FRIDAY MARCH 4th FUND RAISING DRIVE EXPLAINED AND YOUR ARE INVITED!

FRIDAY MARCH 4th, is a fundraising day for the Lancer Track and Field Team. We are trying a new scheme that sells discount “cards” for smart phones.  You are invited to come to practice, participate and enjoy a relaxed day with the Lancer Track and Field Team. Here is how it works. On Friday (name of company) is coming to practice and in one hour with the help from all of us will set up the entire campaign.   Each student-athlete, or participant, has been asked to come to school with a charged phone and a good idea of 5 to 10 numbers whom they can text a message asking for support. Please help your student athletes be prepared with text numbers of people who would enjoy dinning out discounts AND supporting your son or daughter and the Lancer Track and Field Program. On Friday athletes (and you if you choose to come) will text an invitation to their selected supporters, inviting them to purchase a discount card which can be accessed via smart phones. Most of the discount locations are food suppliers offering  a discount when supporters shows the supporters screen from their phone. The companies keep no numbers and the program is discontinued after one year of discounts. Lancer Track and Field receives between 50% and 75% of the price of the $20.00 card plus a percentage of the purchased food items. After looking at many programs, this appears to be a small time investment with a solid return to the program and benefits for our supporters. It is a win-win situation all around. We appreciate yours assistance in this fund raising campaign.
